Private markets / Note 04

Who can participate from India or elsewhere?

Accreditation is one question. Cross-border participation can add eligibility, outbound investment, tax, reporting, currency, and document questions.

There are two eligibility checks.

Private reviews fit and the relevant accredited-investor standard or local equivalent. The partner vehicle may have additional rules. A person who can participate in one opportunity may not be eligible for another.

Your home rules still apply.

Members investing from India or another country are responsible for their own outbound investment rules, tax, reporting, and foreign-exchange requirements. Private does not give legal or tax advice and does not file those processes for you.

Read before you wire.

Review the partner’s offering documents and ask qualified counsel about the structure, currency, fees, timing, transfer limits, reporting, and risks. Confirm that the vehicle is open to your geography before taking any further step.

Participation is optional.

A brief is a chance to evaluate an opportunity. It is not pressure to participate. If the structure or local path is unclear, passing is the cleanest decision.
